Prayer and Bad Attitudes
“I want people everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing” I Timothy 2:8
Have you ever tried to pray when you were angry with someone? Ever been in an argument with a friend or your spouse and followed it up with prayer? Awkward isn’t it? Indeed it is silly, awkward and indicting because our attitudes can hinder an effective prayer life. Prayer turns our passion towards God for our good and His glory. The toxins of a sullen and sour attitude can’t survive in the holy climate of fervent prayer. Lifting our hands to God is an external posture of an inward desire to be right with God and right with one another! What “attitude adjustment” do you want to pray about?
